I had a himalayan trek planned in last May and I was all over google for finding the best (in medium range) trekking shoe. This was suggested by many people. I went for it without keeping much choices in my hand and there was no confusion. Believe me, it was awesome trek experience I had and the most of its credit goes to these shoe only. It has a very good grip and chances of getting slip are very less. I used these shoe all thru 9 days of my trek in all kinds of weathers and on all kinds of...

Looks quite harmless, but these are a killer pair of shoes!
First, they are comfortable. No first-time shoe-wearing discomfort.
They are unbelievably light, yet you can sense that they are sturdy. Similar-looking shoes from other brands could easily weigh more than 1.5 kgs a pair. These are below 1000gms a pair, and feel even lighter!
The ankle support is just right, no fear of twisting or turning on slopes..
Good grip too...
Didn't quite test the waterproofing, shall update regarding that on...

This is my review of these shoes after a mere 20 days of use, but even then they were tested to bring out the plus/minus points - on a variety of terrains.

Overall: I'd call these good value-for-money. They fare much better than what crap local brands (like Woodland) give, but underperform in technical aspects. Avoid them if rocky terrain and multiple stream crossings are involved.

* Fit - These shoes are made for broad ankles. Mine fit okay, but they were always loose about the ankle. The ...

Amazing Trekking shoes. Just bought one last Thursday after window shopping them for over 2 months and also buying two other shoes fo r the same purpose but eventually ended up buying these and immediately left for one of the difficult treks to Rattangad in Sahayadri Range, where you have to cross the river thrice thru various lenghts of strong water currents and Levels upto your knees. One observation the water goes into the shoes only from above ankle. Grips are simply amazing as had to wal...

I bought this shoe through flipkart a couple of weeks back. As with every product, this shoe has its pros and cons. Be sure that the cons don't affect you much if you are planning to buy this shoe.
Pros : good looking, feels comfy and nice, very good grip, water does not seep in when walking through small river bodies (water should not be more than 3 inches from the ground), good filtering system to prevent mud from getting inside the shoe even walking through slushy terrain
Cons: heavy, disa...

LIGHT WEIGHT
WATER RESISTANCE

only one con -
due to lack of ventilation the inner core of the shoes can get a bit hot.
Hence it is not very much recommended foe daily use in Indian Summers

I am seriously satisfied with the quality and strength of the product.
I got it at 3.3K and I am completely satisfied with the bucks I spend

I would recommend to go for them

Hi Guys,
I got this for INR 2399...so it seems a good deal considering competitors like Woodland, or for that matter any other brand.
Apart from that -
1 - It is light weight
2 - Sole is good..A good combination of elasticity as sturdiness. Helps to get grip as well as foot comfort when on rough trail. But it slips in hardened snow. Notice, hardened snow and NOT fresh snow. ie snow which has frost on it. I think that's normal for all shoes..not sure.

A point noticeable is that its a water ...

Having been using this shoe for the last 1 month. Went in long bike rides wearing the shoe during heavy downpours & crossed small streams. Provided absolute water protection in the rains but little bit amount of water seemed to have passed inside while stream crossing. Overall it's a go grab it deal....

Pros : Comfort, GREAT grip,
Highly water resistant.
Surprisingly Light weight shoe .
The inner-soles are good
Best for short treks

Cons :
check your size , Mine is standard 9 ,But here 9.5 was exact fit for me
If water gets inside , it feels like walking with plastic bag around your legs filled with water .. and you cant get the water out easily .

Used the Forclaz 500 in the recent uttarakhand tragedy . had to wade through a lot of landslides , scamper over huge boulders & in general just walk for miles on end . Superb fit , extremely light , great ankle support ,superb grip on rock too , all this has already been said but sure bears repeating . As for the breathability & water proof nature of the Forclaz , you have to use it to believe it ! Got ankle deep into landslide slush & when i came out the shoes were indistinguishable from th...
