Ramayana A Book which glory can not be end

Ramayana Shattered dream Book #02 by Shubha Vilas is morphine for lover of poetry and philosophy. According to me this drug should be taken by everyone without doubt in mind. Ramayana is always my one favorite epic and ithihas of India that dipped me spirituality and trust. Lord Rama itself a drugs to truth seeker, dharmaic people and sages for years.
Ramayana as a tale:
 Ramayana as a tale is most interpreted book in human history. It has been interpreted by view of Hanuman, laxmana, sita, ...

A must have in your home library

Almost everyone in India knows the story of Lord Rama. Yet, it never fails to enchant with its many twists and turns. Rama’s story is in fact a thesis about living life in the pure and noble way. Shattered Dreams talks about the wisdom Rama exhibits while handling the reversals of fortunes, Keikeyi’s greed for power, the love and faithfulness of Bharata, Laxmana and Sita -the shattered dreams of Dasaratha.

When I started reading this book, I was excited, as I had been greatly impressed by th...

Old wine in a new bottle - wonderful notes & snippets

Shattered Dreams – Book 2 deals with the coronation and exile of Ram. The format of the book is very unique with the story divided into nine chapters and each page carrying footnotes with insights on the happenings. I’d say the notes are much more interesting than the story itself (which we all know by heart) and could have constituted the entire book.I appreciate the humongous effort of the author to research the whole of Ramayan – it’s an epic task and takes more than a lifetime. He has tri...

The book reveals the truths of life.

A relevant modern-day English reinterpretation of an Indian legend, retold. This book is written by a spiritual seeker and a motivational speaker, Shubha Vilas.

Mythology, to write in series, is a great challenge. And to keep the reader hooked is yet another challenge.

Many good ideas and opinions came along with the reading. Without losing out the original touch and story-line from the authentic Ramayana, it teaches some wonderful philosophies to live with. This book gives a perspective to...

Book Review - Ramayana: The Game of Life

The Ramayana depicts the victory of good over the evil. It is an ocean brimmed with innumerable pearls of wisdom for every aspect and juncture of life. Every time you take a dip in the ocean, you are bestowed with one of the zillion pearls lying in its womb and the deeper you plunge, the more exquisite the pearl is. Shattered Dreams is one of the parts of that illimitable ocean which commands an exploration to unearth the treasure that lies within.

The mythological text assumes greater signi...

A Beautiful Retelling of Ramayan

The book has authentic base to it and it is certainly not the mythological mumbo-jumbo of the interpretation of Indian mythology. Though the book is mainly based on Valmiki’s Ramayana, it also entwines lyrical beauty of Kamba Ramayana, Tulsidas’s Ramcharitamanas and folk philosophy of Loka Pramana Tales. This book narrates the spellbinding drama of Ram’s exile from Ayodhya. The book also gives us a glimpse of Ravana, who is going to play a significant role in the coming volumes of this series...

Amazing!!!

The book takes us deep into the core of Ramanaya and shows the essence of this magnificent epic. As we know, Ramanaya teaches us mainly about the various roles one comes across in a life time - husband, brother, father, wife etc. The one thing that I have promised myself would be to recommend it to the new generation who is losing grip of the magnificent epic. This book hence bridges the gap from achieving the pristine knowledge that epics deliver. I would read it myself to my kids in futur...

Recommended for Epic lovers, Management gurus & Aspirants

We received a review copy of the book & there are lot of things which we found interesting in the book. Lessons from Ramayana are connected to the modern day. This makes it easier for readers who do not have much idea about the epic. The author helps us visualize the beauty of “being self-less” through the actions of Lakshmana & Bharata. Through Manthara’s character, it beautifully portray’s “How poisonous instincts of one person can lead to the disaster of an entire nation [Ayodhya]”.

The a...
