    Description
Every day millions of people, boys and girls, are transitioning into adulthood. As they face life on their own, they will come across many situations and decisive junctures that will define the course of their journey. At times, they may miss the curtain of protection, but overall they will be excited to chart their own journey. They are ?Ready to Fly?. The book is not about ?how to live your life?. It?s an attempt to share a perspective about the practicalities of life and living ? especially about things one needs to know but are not taught in school. The book is written by a parent as a birthday gift to his young son as he sets out for the journey called life.

An absolutely brilliant book by Mr. Susanta. It felt as if all my father's preaching have been compiled and written down at one place. While I wish I could read it sooner, this books holds no age bar. Simple and crisp words make it a lot easier to grasp in the insights shared.

    A Must read !!

When I first had my hands on this book, I thought I would finish it within a one day. But it actually took me ten days to finish the book. Because that is the time it will take if one has to do justice to this book. I could relate to most of the chapters. Almost every chapter had an important lesson that will help any young adult face the eccentricities of life. The book has been written in a very lucid way and the author Has successfully kept the focus on the content. This book is not only m...

Very often we realize that a true guide will lead you to the right place but won't tell you what to look for. That is a very delicate balance. The thin line between guiding and imposing is often crossed by even those who have our best intentions at heart. But "Ready to Fly" embodies that delicate balance. It leads the reader to a clearer vision, a more thorough understanding of the world around without any such imposition. The chapters present the reader with not only a clearer vision but a w...

Must Read - Gift it to Generation Next !!

Ready To Fly is a perfect gift for the young generation ready to start their lives outside the security of their cosy homes. The issues are common, encountered by most of us, but we are not always told how to handle them wisely. Its mostly learnt by experience and we wish someone had told us before hand. This book is simple and practical, yet presented in an extremely interesting manner. The last chapter - Make a Difference touched me deeply. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it and now gifting it t...

A wise and simple book to read

My parents, like most Indian parents, did not sit me down when I was 18 and talk to me about a lot of things I should have been told. And even though I'm well past that age, this book kind of plugged that gap. It has every message that an 18 yr old needs to hear from his/her parents. I like how it isn't talking about things in black and white but highlighting the fact that there are many colours. I think that's a fundamental thought process that teenagers should develop when they are ready to...
