I BOUGHT THIS BOOK RECENTLY AND I READ IT.IT WAS VERY MUCH LIKE RICK RIORDAN,AND AFTER HEOES OF OLYMPUS , I FEEL THIS IS A LITTLE BETTER SINCE ITS A NEW STORYLINE.

PROS : NEW STORY , GOOD DESCRIPTION , WORTHY OF 500 PAGES

CONS : NO OL' PERCY JACKSON EXCITEMENT.THAT'S ALL.

DON'T MISS IT.I CAN GIVE A SCORE OF 4.75.

As usual, the book has a fast paced story which is very typical of Rick Riordan. However, the joy which you get reading Percy Jackson series, is a bit missing. Though the idea and concept of Egyptian gods is good and the description of each god is a bit fun to read. also, the characters are well imagined and formed. Overall, it is a good book which lacks a bit of the "full potential" of Rick Riordan.

I opened it and I enjoyed every single page of it. Seriously, take it from me- Rick Riordan is a mythology master :) From Greek mythology to Egyptian mythology, this guy sure knows how to get us around mythology. The story revolves around our two Kane heroes, Sadie and Carter. Older of the two, Carter stayed with his father and travelled around museums, gaining ample Egyptian Knowledge. Now to the book It is one of the best books I have read till date. Even though I had the epub files of this series and an ipad to run them, that kind of reading can never match paperback books! The quality of the book is awesome! Found no harm on this book whatsoever!

Rick Riordan is probably the only author who has written fiction-fan...

If anyone says i hate the kane chronicles i am goanna bust your head 20 times coz it is another percy jackson though not so adventurous and humorous still rick has again crossed all of mine expectations , i started this book thinking it might be a descent read but it started a lot like percy jackson , rick tried to make it double the fun but he wasn't able to but i would recomend this book to you , go buy another great saga , if you havent brought the book yet then wait till october 1 st 2013...

Percy Jackson was utterly enjoyable, and the first book of the Kane Chronicles does not disappoint! We move away from Greece and into Egypt, but the writing, plot and characters are pure Riordan. Meaning fantastic.

Carter and Sadie Kane's adventure is an incredibly enjoyable read, and here's hoping their story is as good as the other works by the Master of Mythology!

You delivered this book(actually the whole set) in one day.
If you are a Rick Riordan fan then you must have this book. I gave it a star less because it is not as good as Percy Jackson, of course. Its not at all about Greek mythology or Roman mythology, its about Egyptian mythology. Its a story about two siblings Sadie and Carter Kane who become hosts of gods.
After reading the book one can have a serious book hangover, so be careful.
