Build Quality

Quite good.. one of the better handsets at this price range.. The removable back leaves some space in between which makes it feel a bit hollowish

Dragon Trail Glass for the front panel is an amazing plus at this price point.

No backlit Keyboard... hard to use in it in the dark... but this is something ...

Dear people crying foul, I understand your pain.

This phone was not meant for everyone. The people who are pained to have such phone, please migrate to other awesome manufacturers of the likes of Karbonn, Micromax et al. You'll have a great time dealing with the pristine quality product they have on offer. This was sarcasm, in case you didn't get it.

About the product. I have been using it for about a week now. Fiddled much around with it and now know how make it my pet.

First thing first, people who purchased this phone and expect performance and quality comparable to 20k phones will definitely abuse this phone. If u are like them don't buy this phone. I got this phone delivered on 25th sep and so I am writing this mail after a month of constant use.

Compare the specs u are getting at this price with same comparable specs in any other brand like Nokia, Samsung, Htc, Sony and be assured u need to extend your budget to 15k+. So it is a true value for ...

I bought this phone during the first sale on 2nd September and got it delivered on the 10th.
The phone was packed properly by flipkart.
The flipkart packing had a screen protector , SIM card tray along with a sealed box of Xiomi Redmi 1s.
The M.R.P. on the box mentioned is 7999 and flipkart is selling for 5999. (Wonder how they are doing it).

I ordered Redmi 1s on September 2nd Sale and Got it in my hand on yesterday. In between, I have tortured flipkart guys nothing like anything. Sorry for that guys. Thats a common man's frustration. Lets come to Pros and Cons.

Pros :
1. 720P Display - The color reproduction in this device is awesome. When viewing my old mobile photos (Samsung Galaxy Music 3.15 MP) I can get the images crystal clear.
2. Camera - 8 MP Rear and 1.6 MP front Facing. No mobile can compete this quality at this pric...

Superb phone full value for money. Still working fully functional. Even working with original battery no battery replaced. This is why mi is the best of the best mobile phones. My phone is one of the most newly launched phones. It is a Dec 2014 model.

only two points to consider before buying this phone
1) look at the price you are paying for this phone. don't complain about the battery ram and heating problems mark my words don't expect an iphone in this price.
you get what you pay for remember if you wan't an excellent experience grab a moto g 2edi
if you can't spend don't expect it in 6k

Phone is great on papers for price of rupees 6000 but found 2-3 problems after using it a day

First, The back cover is not properly aligned to fit on the phone's body. Whenever you put little pressure on back, the cover makes click sounds near the locks.as if the cover is not properly locked with the back of phone.

Second problem is that video camera is not able to record the voice from rear mic properly as the audio is very low when i tried recoding the video of a person from 3 feets away...

Very poor battery backup i it is worst thing for me because 2000 mah will not come for 1 day
and while chat or watching videos also getting very heat.while i able to call that time hagging REDMI 1S i dnot know why....
