I am writing this review after 2 days of usage, I must say looks of device and MIUI exceeded my expectations. I am new to MIUI so, it took me some time to understand a few things. I am a heavy user a geek, so it took me less time to understand, but a normal user may take some time to get acquainted with MIUI interface. The device box didn't came with any headphones so that might be a negative. Talking in terms of Pros and Cons of device-

redmi 2 is a brilliant device from xioami considering the specs and performance at ? 6999 its no doubt that this device is capable of competing against those mid rangers in market which charges more and gives ugly specs and worse performance ( m pointing at you samsung)

The device has a premium look and doesn't feel like an entry level phone in any angel. The display is beautiful and smooth. The rear 8MP camera is as awesome as that was in Redmi 1s but the impressive part in camera section is the 2MP front cam which is just awesome in this price range. Sound output is good. Phone is just second name of what u can imagine beauty is. Stunning looks, you dont even have to put an ugly screen guard because its scratch resistant (trust me it is) which makes the phone look even better.

I received REDMI 2 yesterday and the first impression is Wow..:)

pros:

1) Handy and Lighter :-)
2) Camers is good and pictures are clear
2) Features are very good
3) Touch and resolution is nice
4) Battery performance is good

Cons

1) No ear phones inside
2) Phone build is average

Been using it for a day now and completely satisfied

Pros:
1. Good clarity Front and back cam
2. Though the default UI is dull there are lot of awesome customizable free UIs
3. Good battery life (didn't test with games) lasts > than 1 day otherwise
4. Best in class (7K)
5. Quick recharge technology enables swift battery charging
6. Fits well in the pocket due to the compact size (most compact and sleak mobile in this spec range amongst others currently in market)

Has every thing an average consumer would like to have in his mobile. Sturdy build, handy form factor, bright & crisp display, good set of cameras, battery that will last a day, etc all at a price that you wouldn't normally regret.
For those who want multi-tasking & more storage (not happy with 1GB RAM & 8GB Memory), please wait the 2GB/16GB Redmi 2 Prime will be announced soon. May be at a higher price point, though.
