Comparing Xiaomi Redmi 3s Vs Lenovo K6 Power

The under Rs. 10,000 smart phone segment is definitely the most contested market, and for a while, the Xiaomi Redmi 3s prime has been enjoying the crown for quite a while now. Apart from this the Lenovo K6 Power is another option that you have as the specs are more or less the same in terms of ROM, warranty, performance, and display.
With a price difference of a thousand rupees, both the phone comes with loads of specs and features. For example, the Redmi 3s Prime has an HD Display, and the Lenovo K6 Power flaunts a full HD display and an 8MP front facing camera.
A detailed comparison of the phones are as follows:

First Impression

To begin with, both phones come with a compact body, with a 5 inch display, clad in metal.
When flipped over, you will notice differences in their rear cameras. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s prime has a smaller camera at the top and the Lenovo K6 Power has a larger camera in the centre. Both have a fingerprint scanner, at the top centre.
The whole look of the Lenovo K6 Power is more cohesive. It comes with two speaker grills at the bottom. The micro USB port of the Lenovo K6 Power is on the top, while the Redmi 3s Prime has it at the bottom.

Display

One of the most important reasons why the Lenovo K6 Power costs a little more than the Xiaomi Redmi 3s prime is that it comes packed with a 5-inch full HD display, while the Redmi 3s Prime comes with a 5-inch HD display. What this means is that the colors will be a little more vibrant and the pictures will have a crisper clarity on the Lenovo phone. The Lenovo K6 Power also has a better viewing angle as well. However, that doesn’t mean that Redmi 3s comes with a poor-quality display. Its display too is among the best in the market.

Internal Specifications

Internally, both smartphones share the same DNA. Both come with a Snapdragon 430 processor and a 3GB RAM, which should be enough for most tasks. Another point to note is that both come with 32GB of internal memory, and the ability to expand to up to 128GB using a MicroSD card. Both smartphones support two sim cards as well. Both of them run on the Android Marshmallow. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s prime comes with MIUI 8 whereas the Lenovo K6 Power comes with PR UI, an upgraded version of YUI.
Both of these provide a lot of new interesting features.
The most interesting is perhaps the dual app profile. What this means is that in both these smartphones, you can run two instances of the same app, on the same smart phone. For example, if you want two WhatsApp accounts or two separate telegram accounts you can possibly do that.
Apart from that, the software in itself feels snappy, and the animations are pretty good.

Camera

The camera in the Lenovo K6 Power is a 13MP shooter, with a 2.0 aperture. It’s very fast to focus and also holds on to it’s focus pretty well in the video mode. Lenovo has bundled a lot of new modes to the phone, and one of them is the Pro Mode, which helps you control the granular levels of the footage according to your preference and taste.
The camera in the Xiaomi Redmi 3s prime, is also a 13MP shooter, with a 2.0 aperture. Xiaomi also offers a good amount of modes just like the K6 power, and it does also offer a decent manual mode.
The front camera of the Lenovo K6 Power is 8MP, while the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime comes with a 5MP front camera.

Battery Life

When you compare battery life, Redmi 3s (4100 mAh) stands out as the winner. Owing to a lower resolution display, Redmi 3s offers a longer battery life than Lenovo K6 Power (4000 mAh).

Gaming Performance

Although they’re entry-level phones, these phones are quite adept at playing most games like Temple Run and Subway Surfers. You’ll find that the Redmi has a better battery life, so you’ll be gaming for a longer period of time. But the Lenovo has a higher resolution display, so you’ll enjoy games at higher clarity than the Xiaomi.
