Phenol chemical peels are the most aggressive type of skin peels. A phenol peel is an effective remedy for severely sun damaged skin, coarse wrinkles, scars, and even pre-cancerous growths. Because a phenol peel uses carbolic acid to treat the skin, the procedure is not suitable for treating selected areas. It must be used on the full face. Phenol peels are so powerful that only one treatment is necessary to achieve dramatic results that last for years. Because the procedure typically results in pronounced swelling, patients are advised to allow for at least a week of at-home recovery after undergoing a deep chemical peel. Glycolic Acid is Peeling agent that removes the superficial Dead skin layer and causes growth of new lighter glowing skin. Salicylic acid works by softening keratin, a protein that forms part of the skin structure. This helps to loosen dry scaly skin making it easier to remove. When salicylic acid is used in combination with other medicines it takes off the upper layer of skin allowing the additional medicines to penetrate more effectively. Vitamin C is good Moisturiser and sun damage protector Mandelic Acid is very good for dry comedogenic Acne. It Has very good penetration in oil and has very good effect in oily skin for acne. Chemical Peels are acids therefore should be used under the Supervision of trained cosmetologists. Always do Patch Test when using the peel for the first time.Patch test: Apply small amount of peel below neck or armpit, see for any redness beyond the margin of application, if seendiscontinue the procedure. If no redness or itching continue with the procedure Procedure: Cleanse the skin with oil free cleanser, if using oil containing cleanser, after cleansing whip with alcohol or spirit. oil blocks the acid therefore desired action is not achieved.
