    A timeless classic! Buy it.

The book was first published in 1923, just years before the great depression of 1929. The book is ancient, but it yet remains most relevant today if you want to understand how the stock market functions. It is a fictionalized biography of probably the most famous speculator of the early 1900’s. The book is adapted from a series of articles written by Edwin Lefevre. The author takes you inside the mind of Jesse Livermore from when he starts out as a kid and earns a reputation of being a “boy p...

    Just wow!

one of the wonderful book i have ever read. The book doesn't teach you about which stocks to buy and which to sell . The book is about one of the great person jesse livermore it tells you what all problems he faced in his trading life and how he managed to solve it by himself. Give it a read once in a few months and your sentiment will improve towards the market. The paper quality of the book is not that good comparing to the other book by wiley.

REMINISCENCES OF A STOCK OPERATOR by Edwin Lefevre

The more the world of investing changes, the more it remains the same. “Reminiscences of a stock operator” is a fascinating thinly disguises fictionalized “auto-biography” of Jesse Livermore. He was a maverick stock and commodity trader oops operator in the first half of the last century. His is a rags to riches to rags story multiple times.

The book though first published about 90 years back is one of the most widely read books and is a mu...

I did not want this book to end

How can I say this forcefully to impress upon you how great this book is? I don't write reviews. This is my first and only, so here goes. Like Muhammed Ali, this book is undisputedly the greatest. A true & timeless classic that will endure for as long as people speculate. 'Reminiscences' is to trading what Sophia Loren was to curves or Raquel Welch was to breasts.. and then some!

It does require some genuine market experience and multiple re-readings to gain the full benefit of the invaluabl...

    difficult read

Frankly speaking I havent finished yet . The language is a bit difficult to understand, indicative of the book written in a bygone era . Im fairly good with words but there were some words I read for the first time in my life. You have to read the lines twice, thrice sometimes to get what he means . Content wise is premature for me to comment. Will write once i finish
