Synopsis and Features
The T-virus epidemic is out of control. Anyone who has come in contact with it is not a human anymore. The organization, Umbrella Corporation, that produced the virus wants to sever off any ties regarding its involvement. Trying to contain the virus and eliminate any proof of Umbrella Corporation’s participation, you will embark on a dangerous quest into Raccoon City. Can you discover all the secrets and destroy them before they come out into the open?
Developed by Slant Six Games with additional help from Capcom and published by Capcom, Operation Raccoon City has a ton of improvements over its predecessor. The single-player mode will introduce a variety of enemies such as the Hunter, Licker and many others. Built with a superior AI, these enemies think before they attack and often try to ambush you. You have to plan your attacks and proceed to win any missions against them.
Attack mechanism has been improved. The melee attack which is considered to be your last option if you are out of ammo, has been fine-tuned to such a level that you can wipe out your enemies the way you deem fit. Cover system has been tweaked as Operation Raccoon City now includes an auto-cover system. Get close to a wall and your character will automatically stick beside it for cover. This is very helpful if you are dealing with a lot of enemies as you can take cover and eliminate your enemies one by one.
If you like to have multiple characters with whom you can play the game with, then you will be delighted to know that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City includes 12 playable characters. These include Vector, Beltway, Bertha, Spectre, Four Eyes and many others. Zombie games are best played with friends beside your side as you can plough through wave after wave of enemies to complete your objectives. Raccoon City includes a fantastic co-op multiplayer mode that places efficient USS soldiers against the cunning and resourceful U.S. Special Ops teams. Up to 8 players can get together and wreak havoc in the game.
If you want to take the game online where you can challenge players from across the world, you can do so as Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City supports online multiplayer. By opening a game mode known as Heroes Mode you can don the role of any player from the game such as Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and others. If you want to play the game for a longer time, you can download the DLC packs available for the game that add more missions to it.
