From the makers of the Ice Age film series comes Rio, an animated adventure comedy film that’s directed by Carlos Saldanha and stars the vocal talents of Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway and George Lopez. Having been nominated for an Academy Award, the plot of Rio follows a domesticated macaw who is taken by his owner to Rio de Janeiro so he can meet a female domesticated macaw. The two macaws, being the last of their kind, are expected to mate. However, the intrusion of a gang of animal smugglers prompts the macaws to embark on a magical journey unlike any other.
