    Description

Robinson Crusoe is a novel named after the protagonist Robinson Crusoe, who is stranded on a deserted island, which in the end brings about a constructive transformation in his life.

    Summary of the Book

Crusoe is on a sea expedition from the Queen’s Dock of Hull, against the will of his parents. They wished if he could make a career in the field of law. His ship is wrecked by a storm, but Crusoe’s desire for the sea makes him start all over again. On a fateful day, his ship is seized by pirates, and he is burdened by a Moor. Crusoe escapes from the hands of the pirates with the aid of a young man called Xury. He is then helped by a Portuguese sailing captain who shows him the way to Brazil, where he starts his sugar plantation. He starts making a lot of money, and then plans on bringing back the slaves from Africa. However, he is shipwrecked again. And this time, he lands up on a lonely island. He begins to plant rice, corn, and barley, and makes his own furniture, pots, and baskets. He also begins to tame goats, and trains dogs, cats, and even a parrot. One day, Crusoe finds footprints on the shore, he is astonished to find that there were other people on the island. But they were cannibals who held a man named Friday captive. Crusoe rescues Friday from the cannibals. What happens next? Who is Friday and would he and Crusoe be able to leave the island? Do they find more people there? Read this thrilling novel to find out more.

The fore father of the genre of English novel

The book can be called the nearest precursor of the very genre of English novels . Surely the magnum opus of Defoe .. It's an acknowledged English classic but i would suggest it mainly for the better understanding of J.M Coetzee's Foe .
UBSPD has done a very good job though the printing and page quality is not very good ,even copy has some pages where last lines have got cut with the page . However the books gives a chapter wise summery at the end which is very helpful .

    Awesome Book :-)

This book is really great it has an introduction to the author and the story in the front pages and a chapter-wise summary with critical appreciation in the last section of the book. The printing is like that of a school book or may I say old novels a bit large and dark but it can be useful to those who do not want to strain their eyes too much. The story is awesome as always suitable to readers of all ages. But all said and done Flipkart's service is just AWESOME BLOSSOM CHERRY TOSSOM I got ...

Flipkart is playing tricks with buyers.

Actual cost of this book: Robinson Crusoe by UBSPD is Rs.90 but flipkart has priced it for Rs.110 and giving us discounts on that.

I bought it for Rs.105 and when I received it, I got printed price of Rs.90.

I used to trust Flipkart, but flipkart has broken my trust. We should choose the products very carefully here.

So think twice before buying anything from flipkart.
