Musical games have caught the fancy of music fans no matter what their preferred genre may be. With the release of Rocksmith by Ubisoft, the music based game industry has progressed to another level. Rocksmith is very different from other console based games that derive their inspiration from music. The game has a unique feature that allows players to connect almost any Electric Guitar and play. This is also a very effective way for people to learn to play as well. There is also an expansion pack available which would allow for Bass Guitar compatibility as well.

Rocksmith 2014 Edition requires the use of a Hercules Adapter, which is a USB Cable that can connect to the output jack of many of the Electric Guitars. In the game, players can progress along a career which is separate for Bass and normal Electric versions. You can earn Rocksmith points by progressing in the game as more songs, challenges and game modes open up to you. The game serves as a simulation for a rock concert and will also help in teaching key points of proper guitar use through the levels. It is well suited for the PS3 and comes with a PEGI rating of 12.

The Best Guitar Learning Tool!! EVER!!

This is perhaps the best learning tool a guitarist can find. It's not just for beginners. It's for every guitarist. I used practise for 2 to 3 hours a day. After I started playing rocksmith, i'm almost spending the entire day practising. Missions in Session mode,Leaning a song, Lessons,etc, everything is perfectly arranged. It helps you learn at your own natural pace.

The authentic learning system

This is it people.If you wanna learn guitar and fast without all those personal and boring lessons then this is it.Its pretty tough to find the correct tabs on the internet for all the songs and get the right tone on the guitar and rocksmith does that for you.This really is the thing dont listen to the people who are saying that if you use this product then the guitar is not for you.this is a must buy for all the people out there who wants to learn guitar or want to just simply chill out.

This is a great product, no doubt. To stay balanced, I'll start with a few cons:

1. Uses the Steam platform for DRM, which has been buggy historically. I suggest that after you get it up and running, you go in offline mode in Steam, so it doesn't have to verify things every time, and there is less chance of odd bugs after updates, which are very common with the Steam platform. A great tool for practice but not so good as a teacher.

I have about 5 years experience playing guitar. I am a casual player and bought this game to play casually as well. I found that the game tries to "teach" you how to play guitar. But, I find the techniques utilized by the game to be somewhat unfamiliar. It represents the strings of the guitar by colours, which I find to be unusual. Perfect for learning and practicing for beginners as well as for the professionals!

This is an amazing product designed by Ubisoft which eliminates the need to take guitar lessons. It has well developed lessons and a UI which reacts to how the person plays. It has a set of preloaded songs which a user can learn and after each session of playing the engine rates the users performance and suggests the lessons needed to be taken. Fastest way for sure

Since i was an absolute beginner to guitar , this piece of software really helped me.It's been almost 2 months and i've already mastered many songs which i always wanted to play.

Is a defninte good buy for players with an electric guitar.
Have tried it using semi acoustic works for some songs but very few tracks available.
