Size chart says XXL is okay for Size 40 waist. But XXL is very very big. I unfortunately had to return my pair. I ended up buying Size M from elsewhere, which is my correct size. I'm 5'11" with Size 38-40 waist. The pockets aren't very deep, just the size of your palm. The length increases with Size. L is slightly longer than M. The elastic ends on the legs fit snugly and can get less tight if you go for bigger sizes. Best & only option online for people who prefer longer three fourth pants.
