I picked this book, after Saina won the Bronze in London Olympics 2012.

After reading this book, i realized, how its almost difficult to reach great heights in a sport, other than Cricket today in india!

I also realized, how a strong dream, Never to give up attitude in adversities, support of parents and a full time mentor is such an important factor in shaping up and become a champion!

When I first came to know about the book, I had pre-ordered it before its release, as I am very much inspired by her, for what she is today and from where she came.
The book unfolds every aspect for her life like her birth, her childhood, her earlier days with training, her parents and coach. A small town girl who grew up in a middle class. When she was an infant baby and her father took her to the badminton court for the first time, she started smiling the moment she saw the game, her father...

Yes, the book is written on Saina Nehwal, but it does not only talk about Saina but also talks about Badminton as a whole in India. The book is written before London Olympics so it doesn't include Saina's success but does include road towards that success. It also informs about Badminton culture in the country.Also one can come to know role of P.Gopichand and Saina's Family in her success! Very Good read even if you are not a fan of Badmonton. Much better book than Saina's autobiography.

I never imagined it would take so much of pains & hard work for the creation of a quality sports person; the author seems to have tried covering as much as possible that happened around the badminton queen Saina Nehwal.

But - in many places, i find that the narration goes off track & starts explaining the life of saina's trainers, where it feels like quite boring. Anyway at the end of reading - it seems to make sense to know about so many people in the Badminton/Sports arena in India.
