Must Buy Book...

Loved the book. Though set in the 8th century BC the book doesn’t turn out to be another historical novel. The author has shown great creativity and imagination in using historical contexts to portray common human emotions relevant in every age. The story is racy and leaves the reader at a cliff hanger at the end of every chapter. The erotic scenes are portrayed brilliantly in very ornamental style. The book presents a very good combination of romance, action, eroticism and spiritual philosop...

A good read

One must qualify to at least write proper sentences to write a book review. Someone must be kidding here. Contrary to her opinion actually the book is paisa wasool. The author must have a very good taste in women. All chicks in the story are gorgeous and sexy. Lol. A good bedtime read for single men.

A definite page turner. A pulpy and racey story.

Me and my wife both loved this book. Takes you back in history, like you are a part of it. Very good creating blend of history and imagination. Worth it.

Enjoying it and will recommend

I read books and novels on-off over the weekends or as and when time permits. I got this novel after my friend suggestion.
I started this novel, finished couple of dozens of pages and finding it quite interesting. I like the author style, the way he has woven this story and choice of his words.
Still have to complete it fully but initial impression is strong recommendation from my side.

An interesting pulpy thriller.

Samarsiddha is not a historical novel. It's a fiction set in the past and doesn't involve any historical or mythological characters. The book is pretty much in line with the trends in modern English literature where history and mythology are retold as a modern thriller. If you are expecting to read the classics of 19th century writers then this book is not for you. But if you like modern pulp and thrillers then go for it all the way.

Samarsiddha: unexpectedly exceptional!

Samarsiddha was unexpectedly exceptional. The skillful use of language (very easy yet appropriate and correct) made it really easy to understand and superior than that of modern hindi authors.

The story was really interesting, illustrating the evils of varna division & discrimination. It neither was slow paced, nor escalated quickly. The use of speaker identification was excellent. The novel is very well researched and depicts the exact nature and behavior of vedic people. The general socia...

A very entertaining book

The book is quite interesting. A very pulpy tale. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A perfect blend of history and fantasy. The language is quite modern and yet ornate. Something that had been missing from the modern Hindi literature for quite sometime.

the story is really interesting....

The story is full of twists and turns keeping the readers spellbound. An interesting aspect of the story is that the author has tried to draw parallels with many problems the modern world is facing such as imperial and colonial mindset of the western powers and global terrorism born in response to it. I suspect the author comes from the genre of new authors who understand the tastes of the young readers. Seems pretty much inspired by the likes of Amish and Ashwin

A treat for the readers

What impresses me about the book is the language, the craft, and the story telling style of the author. The story is racy and keeps the reader engaged. Portrayals of characters are brilliant. The book may disappoint those who are expecting something very intellectual from the book, but its an interesting read written in an ornamental language. Welcome change to Hindi literature; and a must read for all fiction lovers...
