I bought this bag some 5 years ago.It lasted me just 2 years. The shell gets damaged quickly during air travel as the bag is tossed around. Also the airlines stow a lot of bags over it and the shell will get cracked. When the suitcase is full, if it is hit or strewn around with some force the shell could get cracked. Same happened to me. Mine got a 12 inch crack across and samsonite will do nothing about it. You put some pressure on the empty bag from outside and you will realize how flimsy ...
