Got my GRAND delivered on saturday 2nd Feb, was not expecting the delivery till end of this week, so was pleasantly surprised by Flipkart. I bought it on EMI, with no extra charges.

Had taken lot of time and comparisons before I finally made a decision to buy this phone for my wife. I had earlier booked Note II from Indiatimes but cancelled it as I didn't got the delivery on time and meanwhile GRAND launch was announced.

2. If you are using canvas, karbonn, xolo, lolo etc etc, use it guys but don't come here and comment about grand. There is a separate section for that. You are wasting 10-15 k instead of adding another 6 k and buying grand. No point in buying mobile if you are connecting the charger and using it :P also no point in the number of cores if it still lags. Go for Nokia 1280. I bet its faster than any china embedded Desi phone...

I'm using this phone for last 12 days.
Apart from all other things I wanted to share some points here:
1. It is easy to choose any SIM for data use or for calling. ANY One SIM u can use as DUAL mode(3G/GSM) or GSM or 3G only. If one SIM is 3G then other SIM GSM(2G).

Purchase and delivery - I got mine via Flipkart. The phone was delivered in one day. Super!

Price - 21500. Note: I checked the price at shops in Hyderabad and Delhi and all of them quoted the same price. I think Samsung decided on a uniform price at launch time.

I've read a lot of reviews in here. I'm covering only the important points here that would help you make a decision:

- It is definitely worth the price. The low screen resolution does not make an difference to a user who has moved on from a lower-end phone. Also, Samsung's new color schema implementation works like a charm.

To be fair enough regarding the phone Samsung Galaxy Grand is a good mid range phone at an affordable price. The delivery of Flipkart is very nice and no complaints about it.
But EMI offer of Standard Chartered Bank did not work in my case . The transaction took place on 30/4/13 but still nothing has been done so far.It is a trap by Standard Chartered to make big budget purchase and then let you make pay the entire amount at one go.In fact several complaints to the bank and email were in vain...

Writing this review after 2 months of usage and experimenting with this phone. As of with the looks without flip cover it looks like your are using an S3 in your hand. Definitely will make your shoulders wider, but coming to its reality at sometimes you repent for buying this. am not gona say anything about the specifications as all know about it. Hello people I had purchased Grand Duos from flipkart at the time it was just launched..
I have been using this phone for a considerable period of time.. and i believe its a good phone.. 1.2ghz dual core 1 gb ram is a pretty desent configuration for almost all your daily tasks. it actually handles almost every essential app very efficiently.. you dont have lags and dont have to often restart the phone. With some minor tweaks you can have an Antutu Benchmark score of 8500+.

Initially I was a little skeptical about buying this phone since a lot was being promised in a very little price. Also the lower pixel density was a bit of a concern since all my friends were talking about it. I had 3 options- Note II, S3 and Grand.
But the day I got my phone delivered in my office, I had all my worries wiped away. Yes, it has a low pixel density which makes some thumbnails look patchy but thats just for the thumbnails(as far as I have noticed). The picture quality otherwise ...

Phone is quite good, battery is neither bad nor too good. I think a bit on the higher end the price is for this phone. However, If someone is not in hurry then i'd say wait for some more time, may be samsung will slash price for this phone.
