No Snapdragon No Buy

An awesome phone no doubt, has the best display on the planet, IP67 certification.
BUT,
In India launched with exynos Octa core version which is quite fast, but the games and apps are better optimised for Snapdragon SoC because it is more popular. Samsung( outside India), LG, Sony, HTC, Gionee, Nexus, Oppo, and many other use Snapdragon 800 SoC.
So better go for Snapdragon SoC than this.
Also it is more battery efficient with built in 4G capabilities. Yeah, S5 has no 4G for 50k, while LG G...

guys please consider xperia z2 over galaxy s5

following are the benefits of xperia z2 over galaxy s5

1) Better Processor (snapdragon 801 vs exynos) snapdragron 801 has about 30% better graphics processing power than this exynos in s5
2) Better Ram (3gb vs galaxy s5 2gb)
3) Better screen(IPS PANEL of z2 which produces better color gamut than amoled of s5...amoled is just oversaturated non-natural looking colors)
4) Better Camera with better low light images.
5) Better Water resistance (xperia z2 is IP58 and galaxy s5 is IP67.......the f...

Galaxy S5 Snapdragon 801 vs Galaxy S5 Exynos 5422 Octa Core

Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S5 comes in two different variants – one with a Snapdragon 801 SoC and 4G LTE connectivity, and the other with an Exynos 5422 Octa Core SoC. So here the question comes, which on is more powerful?

Galaxy S5 Exynos beats Snapdragon 801

Previously also Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S4 in two main variants –
1. GT-I9500 (Exynos 5 Octa 5410 CPU – Quad-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 GPU – PowerVR SGX 544MP3)
2. GT-I9505 (quad core S...

--- 1. why I decided to buy S5 over M8 --- 2. hows my experience with it

Cons :
Indian version : No usb3 cable in box
Indian version : No Snapdragon (cheap replacement) -- CORRECTION - technically the existing processor of S5 in India is better then Snapdragon.
Indian version : No 4G capability
Finger scanner is very cool, but not accurate on one hand operation.
Front cam still 2MP (not a big deal though)

Pros :
Best phoneCam in market.
Water & Dust resistant.
Excellent display.
Better earphones.
Huge UI improvement.
Good build quality, nice grip in hand.
4K rec...

Samsung has not done it right this time with the s5

Before you decide to buy the s5, I urge you to read this review. I'm a tech reviewer and have reviewed most Samsung smartphones over the years. Every year Samsung produces a smartphone which blows away the competitors but not this time. I'm going to list the cons of this phone which everyone should know about before they invest their money on this phone which they are planning to keep for atleast 2-3 years:
1) The Indian version has the exynos 5422 chipset and not the snapdragon 801- this chi...

At 35k it is a steal

People here are all claiming how Samsung is cheating Indian customers and how the phone is not 4g enabled, blah blah, etc. I would have totally agreed with them if this was a 50k phone but at 35k this is the best phone anybody could buy!

Pros:
1. A great camera with really fast focus and for people who don't want to fiddle with the more complicated camera features, the auto mode captures beautiful pictures instantly.
Videos are full HD and lag free.
2. Fast. Browsing the internet and watchi...

Great phone

Pros:
- great screen
- great camera
- no heating issues but I'm not into video-gaming so your mileage may vary.
I was looking for a hassle-free phone which would have a good camera and be comfortable to use. Browsing over the newer phones (Xiaomi, Huawei, Motorola), all of them seemed to have some issue or other:
- heating issues
- lack of service centres or high servicing charges
- shoddy camera
Then I came across the S5. Though its rating on flipkart is just average, the negative rev...

awesome phone

First of all at 35k this is the best phone available. Those who are whining about it's plastic built or lack of lte should experience the product and think about the priorities. The plastic used in back cover feels much more premium than anything available in this range. LTE is not yet widely available in India and this phone would have been outdated by the time LTE becomes widely available at reasonable price.

Updating this review after using the device for 11 days..
This has been my worst ...

Fabulous!

Awesome screen and cam. Waterproof. Has washed it with soap 5 times. Battery good for a day. Only issue is that it's not 4G. Bought it at 12600 in independence day deal. Great discounts flipkart....keep it up. Good product overall.
