* Very nice and handy design
* Superb battery backup (4 days min)
* Browser support. This is the only non camera phone having gprs support as of my knowledge.
* Bluetooth. (tis is also not available in other brand non camera mobiles)
* Clear voice clarity during call
* Earphone sound clarity is amazing.!
* Decent FM and torch.

Cons :
* You cant forward a message to a group. then wat the use of having group.?
* Music cannot be played in background. Then Y u kept name as samsung guru mu...

I have been using this mobile for about a week and i can say this is the best mobile available under 2k.

In my work area I am not allowed to carry camera mobiles. hence I wanted a mobile with bluetooth and gprs without a camera. This is the only mobile available with these features. It also has micro usb charging port so that I can share the charger with my Samsung Galaxy S2.

Though it only supports expandable memory of 4gb, I can live with it.

Well first of all I am not here to write the hundred lines of Pros and cons or whatever..I am sure you have read them already.. I am here to correct some of the cons that some people have posted earlier before I bought this device. Some said it's Bluetooth does not work with windows 7 but trust me it works absolutely fine with mine(its not like samsung made my device especially for me..duh!). I have purchased this mobile as I am not allowed camera mobiles inside office premises..I did little research before buying this compact mobile and placed order in flipkart the shopping and delivery process was very ease and delivered the item on time. The phone is good the rubber keypad is good for texting, long battery life... I have a smartphone & it always run out of battery I surf at it & do almost everything on that... but this phone is for emergencies & my secondary phone use it for making all the calls & texting & also get a few incoming calls Battery gives 2 week or even more very easily...I wish my smartphone can give me such a battery life...

I have opted for this phone as camera phones are not allowed in my office.

Phone is light weighted, small in size and has many additional features like gprs and bluetooth which are hard to find in non camera phone. Sound quality through headset is also nice one.

There are few cons.

1. Music player cannot be used in background.
2. After battery removal you have to enter date and time again.

Samsung Guru E1282 Vs Nokia 101

GPRS : yes vs no
Bluetooth : yes vs no

The rest of the features are pretty much the same, but how can one live without important features such as GPRS and Bluetooth.

I understand Nokia is the best featurephone brand in india, but how could they forget to put GPRS and Bluetooth in their 101 model.Finally price difference is only about 200 bucks!!! Way to go Sammy!!!

I bought this for my mum before that I gave her couple of Nokia phones, on which she not been able to hear me properly so I went with Samsung which does what it meant for. One of the solid good value for money phone. Go for it.
