I can see Madhuri's evolution as an author with Scandalous Housewives. What I like especially about the book is how easy it is to relate life situations and people to the characters and what they go through. I find traits in friends that are similar to some of the characters. I identify with the faults, the needs and problems sometimes and I like knowing that I might have handled situations differently or better than some of them.

Madhuri's ability to make the reader feel like a part of the story is commendable.

Character buildup is brilliant. By the end of the book the reader feels like a part of the "Lovey Ladies" group. They have become your friends wherein you actually feel their pain...

I love the way the lives of four ordinary housewives has been written. It's exactly like my society and friends. And I wasn't expecting the ending! Quite a reveal. Keeps you hooked all the way.

This is quite an easy read and highlights how our fast styled lives have affected us. Many women today encounter these problems and sadly we do not do anything about it. Overall a good read.
