A Hasp and stable are designed to be used with pin or a padlock to securely lock. Ideal for use on sheds, storage box, or garden door gates they come in a wide range of sizes. The "staple" is the two pronged rounded tab with a hole in it that we find on lockers, cabinets, safes, etc., and the "hasp" is the slotted thing (hinged latch, door, drawer, etc.) that goes over it before we throw a padlock through the staple hole to secure the slotted thing. These find applications in a wide variety of things with the most common of them all being to use them to secure doors and boxes using a padlock. The hasp and the padlocks are two separate items, but there are special hasps which are designed and embedded with a padlock. These slim line hasps and staples incorporate the benefits of a strong steel construction, hidden fixings, a corrosion resistant coating and a practical and robust design. The necessary fixings are supplied ready for installation. Designed for use with padlocks.
