I bought it from Flipkart and using it for the last one year. It works well with both Windows and Linux. With USB 3.0 port, the transfer speed is blazing fast and it is definitely portable. Definitely recommended from my side.

I bought it after reading flipkart reviews, some of which were quite critical. People have written about how their seagate hd stopped working within a few days, hours even!! I was very apprehensive after reading such reviews but decided to trust the Seagate brand and make a leap of faith. It paid off. No hiccups at all. Works like clockwork. I think you have to follow some basic advice like keeping the hd away from magnets, vibrations, speakers, moisture and there wont be any problem.

If you are using the USB 3.0 interface this is rock solid drive for daily use/backup purpose. Works well with MAC TimeMachine as well.
