I have been using this product from the last 3 weeks and I think that it is worth buying. Talking of build quality it is pretty solid and can withstand a drop from waist level (I have dropped it on the first day) . I have also got 60 Mbps of data transfer speed on a 2.0 port (my 3.0 port is not working, so I guess that it can give much pretty speed on a 3.0 port).

its been about 2 weeks and it appears to be working all good. the good thing about Flipkart is They show it as 1TB and when I received the product it was of 2TB. I thank Seagate for that. so I am delighted and giving 5 Star.

It works well with my Macbook Pro. For Mac users,this device will not work with Time machine unless you format it to HFS format. After that it will not work on windows unless you install a third party driver which costs around $20. Also,unlike its predecessor the device does not have Thunderbolt adapter with it but,USB 3 will suffice. Overall nice product !

Very good product having good performance...files are copied at 27 MB/S through USB 2.0...
But I think, the cable should be better.....
During BBD its price decreased upto 5670 after availing the discount. So happy to have it.

Brushed Aluminum has a great look and feel to it. Just like the name suggests it is very slim. I have a Buffalo 1TB which I bought from Flipkart is a great product too which is a little thick compared to this baby.
Transfer rate is great, the speed obviously depends what you are transferring to it, could vary from 20MBs/sec to 40MBs/sec

Most of the good HDDs will perform at this speed, so choose what suits you the best, personally I only go for the HDDs made by core people who only make thes...
