No doubt this a good hard-disk, but mind you, this doesn't have USB 3.0 support. So, if you have a USB 3.0 support in your laptop or desktop, or likely to have in near future, you are missing a great deal here.

USB 3.0 is ten times faster than USB 2.0

Seagate currently (at the time of posting this review) have no hard disk with out-of-box USB 3.0 support. Some Seagate models however work with USB 3.0 with the help of additional attachment.

I opted for COD, by chance I was out of station when I have to receive the product. Flipkart service people called me and asked me regarding the my availablity and delivered the product on the date and time mentioned.product was well packed.I liked the service the most. thumbs up Flipkart!great going!

I must say delivery is very quick from the flipkart people. I ordered it on sunday and received it on wednesday morning! and packing was also pretty good.

Regarding the drive, its pretty light weight, not very fast(since 5400 rpm and no USB 3.0), very portable, AND NOT 1 TB!! yes its not 1 TB! its rather significantly less than that! 1TB is 1024 GBs but its only 931 GBs!! thats like 93 GBs less!

Overall m satisfied with the product so far..and looking forward to purchasing from flipkart again.

Good sturdy portable hard drive. Been using it for 2 years now. Bought it from Flipkart in September 2011. Functioning well, very satisfied. The cord was loose after a while so I bought a new one which barely costs anything. But overall a good buy. Cheers.

I bought it 6 months back from Flipkart. It was priced approx 5,700 then. It's a good storage device, fast enough and portable enough. However, it's not just the "wow" thing. Today there are smaller, ligher disks are available with USB 3.0. Also not it seems a bit over-priced. So check your option before you buy.

Just the perfect thing for the extra space needed for your desktop / laptop .
The prices of HDDs have gone up recently .
But other than this , everything is good .
This thing doesn't need any softwares to be installed .
Purely plug-n-play , after you load the provided drivers (that is done automatically on almost any machine nowadays) .
Got this on the 2nd day from the day of ordering !

The price is on the higher side but performance wise good product.

i) Light Weight
ii) Good transfer speed (Though it don't have USB 3.0)
iii) Beautiful look.
iv) Small size.
v) No more warming up of your Ext HDD.
vi) Works with almost all OSs.

This Seagate hard disk is the best on USB 2.0
Seagate is the company on whom we can trust.
now a days Seagate USB 3.0 HDDs also available, u can choose as per your requirement.
USB 3.0 is 10 times faster in data tarnsfer than USB 2.0
I'm having 2 seagate HDDs (same models) since 2 years. one is of 500GB and second is of 250GB.
Both are working Excellent. Encryption & Decryption can easily be done in these Drives. Very Good Product, no Cons.
