Flipkart delivered the product well within time, and in an excellent packaging.
It's larger and heavier than I had expected, bigger than any portable hard disk. It comes with an universal adapter, that can fix all your voltage needs. The Hard disk's ventilated at the bottom and behind. There's just two ports- USB and power- pretty neat! There's a tiny blue light on the top that blinks when you transfer data. Hats off to Flipkart! And why not they really take care of their customers.
Received this product wrapped in safely with transit insurance and 3 years Seagate limited waranty!
First, you notice that the look of typical Seagate is missing. It comes with a black matte finish instead of Seagate's default shiny piano black. The reason being to avoid fingerprints, says Seagate. However you never regret the look anyway.

Finally a 2.7 TB HDD for all my stuff :)!!
The packing arrived with the usual Flipkart awesomeness and trust, kudos to that..
Quite like the new matte finish look on this HDD, and it also ships with 4 power adapter options : Asia, US, UK and India..
There is some propitiatory software on it, but i didnt bother with it and deleted the whole partition to create 4 new ones..
But here's the catch, for some reason Win 7 does allow your to use more then 2TB of space because of it's MBR default settings for partitions...
You need to do it GB...

Good value for money.
Took flipkart about 8 days to deliver(Apparently it got shipped from Mumbai to bangalore and not from bangalore itself,still 8 days from mumbai?)...now that doesn't happen always. I had to email their customer care to have it delivered after the delivery date passed. However received the Hard Disk in good shape and packing.
For 9k-something it is a good bargain for me..
Needs external power(loses a star for that) and is quite big and heavy(not very portable). But serves my purpose of as a bac...

good product from seagate!!!!!!!!!!!!
seagate , name is enough , i brought it few months back and it is working like charm. speed is good and u can easily get more than 50 mbps transfer rate in USB 3.0 ( 90mbps tooooo) but not in USB 2.0. delivery is fast but apart from product which awes it kind of disappointing that flipkart packing is not that up to mark . cmom u sending 9k product in single small piece of foam without airbag. Its only beacuse of seagate its own packing that protect it otherwise i may receive damage product. I...

Read and Write performance on USB 3.0 are fairly good for me...

This is an expansion hard drive... and in my opinion, This is the maximum in an expansion drive...

Best storage facility
When I ordered this, I was a li'l worried about the size of this thing...Also it runs on power adapter aid only...you cannot simply plug in the USB into your computer and access the storage. Though it was looking uncomfortable from that view point, when I got the product, its size was nearly the same as my Galaxy Tab2. Not portable everywhere as you would a 1 TB hard disk though because of its weight. A li'l heavy. But it is portable enough... Its a great bargain for 9000Rs. and storage is ea...

Good hard disk but do not make partition !!!
Good Hard disk, but do not make partition in it otherwise 746 gb will become unallocated,
yes It can be reallocated, but for that you've to work on it, so beaware of this issue, Nobody here told this thing.
Hard disk is Good, Speed is also good on USB 2.0 speed is approx 29 mbps

Well.. I loved the matte finish & Sleek look.
Pros:
1. Its Spacious.
2. Good Read/Write Speed with 3.0 USB Port.
3. Less Noise.
4. Worked Continuously for 24 hours + still very less heat.
5. Flexible power input options.
6. USB cable is of good length.
Cons:
1. Worse Read/Write speed with 2.0 USB Port.
2. As its external, power dies so does the hard drive [Requires a dedicated UPS ]
Guys keep your drive defragmenting when drive is not in use.
