A hilarious take on marriage and adultery

Beautifully written! Shubha manages to find humour in the most trying existential questions.
A woman's quest for love and romance in a humdrum marriage, is depicted through the lead character Mini's fantasies.

Amazing

Second coming will make you laugh...in bollywood's language its a complete Paisa vasool'.
The protagonist like any of us is confused yet in her own ways is simple and straight forward. The moment I had the book in my hand , wanted to finish it in a day as could not wait to know what will be the ending. Thank God it was a happy ending.

Awesome read

This book is a definite treat to read. Throughout the book, I was smitten by Mini's escapades and absolutely loved the chocoholic cherub. After a long time, I finished a book in a marathon reading. I couldn't put the book down as Mini's antics kept me turning pages. A light, fun, and interesting read.

Fabulous

Shubha Menon did a fantastic job. This is rom-com with a lot of comedy and lot of romance. In fact it has more humor and satire than comedy.
Our heroine Mrinalini Mehta aka Mini is a happily married woman who is also regarded highly in her office also. She lives happily with her hubby Shyam Mehta who is a cricket enthusiast. Her boss Mahatta calls her Mrinalini and regards her as a top notch wedding planner. But is she happy? No. why?
“It was not as though Shyam was a bad husband. Far from ...

Quirky, with a message!!!

Shubha Menon’s The Second Coming deals with second chances in a refreshingly different way. When I heard about the plot, I knew for certain that I had to read this book!!! And I am glad I did. It is funny, quirky, refreshing, and a quick read.
The Second Coming is a story laced with a little twist here and a slight turn there-another thing that I liked about it. The characters are beautiful and relatable. Out of the three characters, I liked Shubha’s potrayal of Shyam the best. A quick revela...

Fast, fun read

I got the autographed book at the launch and I do no regret it.
Great fun story that is a quick read and takes you through a journey of funny, sensual anecdotes. My favorite part is that the characters come to life on every page and I can genuinely identify with who these people are.

Get your copy! it's worth it!

GREAT INSIGHTS INTO THE NEW PROGRESSIVE INDIAN WOMAN

The second coming is a piece of work that delves into the new age woman's mindset and peels many insights about her. The new Indian women who is not afraid to disturb her equilibrium and seeks pleasure for the sake of pleasure alone. A woman who is critical of herself and how she looks yet does not let it come in way of who she desires to be. Some of the instances are sooo true and makes you feel..this is ME!! Well done Shubha!
