Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Available'

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

      'Preorder' or 'Forthcoming'

The product is not released yet. You can however ‘book’ an order for this. Shipping happens only after the product launch.

      'Out of Stock'

Currently, the item is not available for sale. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know once it is available for purchase.

      'Imported'

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Permanently Discontinued'

This product is no longer available because it is obsolete and/or its production has been discontinued.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

    Description

The Shiva Trilogy is a series built around characters that are based loosely on those from Indian mythology and the Hindu Panthe on.

In the first book, The Immortals of Meluha, Shiva is a Tibetan tribal chief who is brought to the country of Meluha to save the people from their enemies. The Secret of The Nagas picks up from that point, where the first book ended.

Shiva’s wife Sati is stalked by the Nagas, who are a group of people forced to live in isolation because of their physical deformities. Shiva also holds the Nagas to be responsible for the death of his friend Brihaspathi of Meluha. He sets out to find the Nagas and avenge the death of his friend.

Shiva and Sati travel to Kashi. They locate a community of Brangas who they feel can tell them about the Nagas. Shiva prepares to sail to the land of the Brangas while Sati decides to stay on in Kashi.

In the course of the story, Sati learns a few secrets about herself and her family. She also gives birth to Karthik, her younger son. Shiva and Sati are temporarily estranged for various reasons. They learn the true identities of the Nagas who were stalking Sati, and the person responsible for the murder of Sati’s first husband.

The final part of the story deals with Shiva’s journey to Panchvati, the Naga Capital.

    Entertaining

    1. According to this book, Lord RAM is well before the time of the arrival of Lord Shiva or Neelkanth. If that is the case, how did Lord Ram perform poojas to Lord Shiva in Rameshwaram which is described in detail in RAMAYANA? May be that was a different Lord Shiva in scriptures, with a different Goddess Shakthi with a different Ganapati and different Karthick as sons.

    2. Lord Shiva is documented in the scriptures as a god possessing qualities of high meditation and is third eye in the foreh...

Interesting but not as good as the first part.

I was really excited to read the second installment of this series. When I started reading this, I really expected more. But the story that is the journey of Shiva really seemed pointless to me.

A secret is revealed at the end of the book. Why didnt the naga told that to Shiva instead of going through so much trouble.

But the series is really great and I am eagerly waiting for the third book.

    The awesome journey continues!

First of all thank you Flipkart for delivering it in record time. Keep up the good work!

The awesome journey continues from Meluha to Panchavati. Shiva is becoming more like a GOD! He continues to fight his inner demons as well as outside and takes a path which will ultimately take him to his goal in life. The book is really gripping and a definite page turner. It gives us a complete picture of how a man can be happy if a realizes what his karma is and follows on it's path. I completed the b...

Only a moron can like this crap

Unfortunately this book proves that only a very small fraction of Indian writers can write fiction and even a smaller part of that can write fiction in English.
An extremely interesting premise to try and reconstruct one of the most intriguing characters from mythology but let down by crappy imagination and an idiotic sense of narrative.
I believe its just the complete morons who would find this entertaining and want to read it.

The So called Secret of the Nagas

The secret of the Nagas is that Brispathi is alive. Those of you who read the first book will know that Lord Shiva thinks his closest friend Brispathi was killed by the Nagas (hence his hatred towards them).

The second book, boils down to this:
Lord Shiva makes an enemy out of his father-in-law and becomes friends with the Nagas. That's about it. The book tends to lose focus and meanders all over the kingdom.

I just hope the second book is a stepping stone towards the third and that the th...

    Pop Mythology : Hindi Serial-ish

Summary - Interesting characterization, nice blend of myths and facts. Builds into a nice plot and then runs like an confused hindi serial which stretches and stretches...Potpourri, Pop-Mythology.

    Losses-
The first book builds into an interesting plot. The characterization is interesting and could have been a more evolved, modern and engaging piece of fiction. The writer's need to keep the plot alive brings about a serial-ish style of writing towards the last chapters....Reminds me of the typ...

    Maybe Maybe not

I stumbled onto The Immortals quite by chance when a friend of mine decided to buy the book(from flipkart, heheh) simply because he doesn't believe in mythology and often makes fun of my religious belief. but anyway, when i did get down to reading it i found it extremely entertaining probably because of the contemporary language and familiar story. We all love or fear Shiva in some way and seeing him as a man, quite human like us, yet having the virtues worthy of being worshipped is what make...

Secret of Nagas - A complete dissappointment

Totally predictable, not really any secret in it. Is that really the secret!!! I guessed it a looong time back. Author wants us to read the sequel always. That's how he ends each book. I don't know how he'll finish his third!!

An OK read, if you must

This book is really boring and I have been able to read only 80 pages so far coz the story is damn slow and monotonous.
All the initial excitement after ordering the book and finally getting it delivered went over after reading the first 20 - 30 pages!!!!
The first one was much better and the story must have been limited to a single book rather than the author having to read bad reviews for extending the story to 2 useless sequels.

P.S. This is my personal opinion and I don't mean to offend ...
