Reminds one of Indiana Jones, Dan Brown and Wilbur Smith.

A gripping storyline, combined with a fast pace. Plausible "ancient trap mechanisms" encountered by the expedition team. Misquita's signature style of introducing a lot of seemingly-unrelated "threads" in the first half of the book, and then connecting them all together eventually in the bigger plot. And yes, plenty of perfectly-scripted action scenes too. Despite the fact that the editing isn't perfect, and some of the characters are not given as much attention as they deserved, it is quite ...

Must read for history and action thriller lovers.

I think India has got his own Dan Brown as Douglas Misquita. Marvelous another good read from Misquita. After completing Haunted I picked this book, I liked writing style of the author, the way he conveys any scene is excellent. The action scenes are so vividly described, it Sims you are watching a movie. The book is a mixture of history, adventure and thriller. A gripping storyline fast paced un putdown able and page turner from the beginning. A well researched book on Egyptian Gods. The plo...

    Another fast-paced, action-packed read

After a great debut with Haunted, Douglas Misquita set the bar high, and his sophomore effort 'Secret of the Scribe' does not disappoint. When the book was announced, I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping for another book in the Ingram series (*hint*).
The plot differs a lot from his first book, but it once again a fast paced page turner. The book is action-packed right from the get go. The book transports you to various locales, each vividly described. The basis of the book is the hunt fo...
