Why is there a shipping charge for this item?

Sellers with Flipkart Assured waive off the delivery charge for Orders over Rs 500. For Orders under Rs 500, a nominal delivery charge is added per item.

Sellers without Flipkart Assured may or may not add a delivery charge to your Order. This is subject to Seller discretion.

What is the estimated delivery time?

Sellers generally procure and ship the items within the time specified on the product page. Business days exclude public holidays and Sundays.

Estimated delivery time depends on the following factors:

      • The Seller offering the product
      • Product's availability with the Seller
      • The destination to which you want the order shipped to and the Seller's location

Why does the delivery date not correspond to the delivery timeline of X-Y business days?

It is possible that the Seller or our courier partners observe a holiday between the day you placed your order and the date of delivery, which is based on the timelines shown on the product page. In this case, we add a day to the estimated date. Some courier partners and Sellers do not work on Sundays and this is factored in to the delivery dates.

What do the different tags like 'In Stock', 'Available' mean?

      'In Stock'

Products‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Products listed as ‘In Stock’ are readily available with seller.

Sometimes, items have to be sourced by Sellers from outside India. These items are mentioned as 'Imported' on the product page and can take at least 10 days or more to be delivered to you.

      'Back In Stock Soon'

The item is popular and is sold out. You can however 'book' an order for the product and it will be shipped according to the timelines mentioned by the Seller.

      'Temporarily Unavailable'

The product is currently out of stock and is not available for purchase. The product could to be in stock soon. Use the 'Notify Me' feature to know when it is available for purchase.

      'Out of Print'

This product is not available because it is no longer published and has been permanently discontinued.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary for each seller?

Delivery times are influenced by product availability, geographic location of the Seller, your shipping destination and the courier partner's time-to-deliver to your location.

Please enter your default pin code on the product page to know more accurate delivery times on the product page itself.

Seller does not/cannot ship to my area. Why?

Enter your pincode on the product page to know whether the product can be delivered to your location.

If you haven't provided your pincode until the checkout stage, the pincode in your last used shipping address will be used to check for serviceability.

Whether your location can be serviced or not depends on:

      • Whether the Seller actually ships to your location
      • Legal restrictions, if any, in shipping particular products to your location
      • The availability of reliable courier partners in your location

At times Sellers prefer not to ship to certain locations. This is entirely at their discretion.

The book answers questions on India’s thoughts about the nation’s policy and approach regarding China. It takes us back to 1962 when China decided to invade India when the nation was not expecting it.

    Summary of the Book

In 1962 China unexpectedly invaded India despite having made peace with our nation. This has led to the discussion in this book as to how Pandit Nehru confidently made the assumption that China would not invade India. It also discusses whether the same mistakes are being repeated now, and whether India has learnt anything from that attack. This book is an analysis and a warning on India’s policy regarding China as it turned out to be a real failure. It is an investigation on our approach and policy based on Nehru’s letters to his officers, correspondence and chief ministers.

    About the Author

Arun Shourie is an Indian author, journalist and politician. He has got a doctorate in Economics from Maxwell School of Syracuse University. He won the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1982.

    Excellent piece by AS

Must read book for people interested in Indian policy towards China-How it is and How should it be. The book starts with brief overview of the current UPA's policy towards China, then elaborates on Nehru's ill conceived China strategy in the past, further speaks on India vis-a-vis China on many parameters and ends with lessons, stratagems that must be employed to counter Chinese threat.

It was an eye opener, Pakistan is a milder enemy than China

I started this book and it take quite some time to sink what NEHRU has done to this country, Perhaps anyone who will read this book would get to know that Nehru was either a fool or a traitor.. China policy is same almost as it was 1n 60s, they have become real superpower in all senses and we have been left to nothing in front of them. Those who have heard ARUN SHOURIE speak will be able to better understand this book because the contents are really deep and thought provoking. If u want to bu...

At first I felt that Shourie criticises our first PM just for poilitical gimmick. But after reading the book I realized that he does it for a reason! And each reason is backed by numerous undeniable facts. Thank you Mr Shourie for such fabulous work!

Outstanding insight of India China relationship

Mr. Shourie took me on a journey which gave insight into India-China relationship.

Right from the start he builds a strong case to explain that Indian leadership must develop a focused, result oriented and synchronized long term strategy to defend our borders. As we read on he nicely explains new military doctrine of PLA and lessons that India can learn. Make no mistakes, Mr. Shourie doesn't just talk about Military strength of India and China but he talks a lot about foreign policy, diplom...

Much of India's foreign policy in Asia has been shaped by India China relations. The disastrous policy followed earlier and lack of a firm initiative on this all important relationship has harmed India immeasurably. This book points out that things are not static,China is I(India's northern neighbour and unless we keep up the defence entente, the point would come where India is " blown off the map".This is the natural way of events.Whilst India need not have an aggressive foreign policy,it mus...
