The book answers questions on India’s thoughts about the nation’s policy and approach regarding China. It takes us back to 1962 when China decided to invade India when the nation was not expecting it.
Summary of the Book
In 1962 China unexpectedly invaded India despite having made peace with our nation. This has led to the discussion in this book as to how Pandit Nehru confidently made the assumption that China would not invade India. It also discusses whether the same mistakes are being repeated now, and whether India has learnt anything from that attack. This book is an analysis and a warning on India’s policy regarding China as it turned out to be a real failure. It is an investigation on our approach and policy based on Nehru’s letters to his officers, correspondence and chief ministers.
