Sennheiser CX 400 II Precision Wired without Mic  (White, In the Ear)

These were my first iem's(in ear monitors) and i absolutely loved them because of the natural,neutral sound. I listen mainly to acoustic,rock and fusion music and these are brilliant for those genres.The noise isolation was amazing especially with the flanged eartips. The highs and mids were accurate, and the bass was punchy and detailed, though i could use some more- nothing that an equaliser can't fix. Note: these earphones are NOT for bassheads.

Sennheiser CX 400 are one of the best canalphones available in the market in below 5k segment but you wont find them to de a significant upgrade over CX 300. The extra 1.4k difference is not seen in this product. I would suggest CX 300 over CX 400. Nevertheless these headphones are amazing.

*Also, these headphones are for audiophiles not the bass lovers*

If you are a true audiophile, hands down nothing compares to Sennheiser within this price range. You pay 4K bucks and you get what you deserve. Pure and awesome sound

I purchased this on 14th September 2012, so you can estimate the amount of burn-in it has gone through. And with each day it gets better. I'm not even over-exaggerating - the whole audio spectrum of lows, mids and highs is perfectly balanced.

The Sennheiser CX 400 ii earphones are just awesome. Every sound is so clear and the thump is magnificient. I am truly a satisfied customer of Sennheiser now that I own a CX 400 ii earphone and and HD 202 ii headphone. The music lover in me is elated

the sound quality is very good in terms of details and clarity but sound seems to distort at higher volume,
trebles are fine but bass is not good at all so for bass lovers they are definitely not the ones,
they are very comfortable but with not all earbuds,
lot of accessories have been provided but most of it has no use so don't be fooled by this,
Moreover the company claims that they provide superior isolation and reproduce original sound but they aren't like that even at this much price.

This headphones are truly amazing in every aspect

bass---- so good deep and solid.. I have used sony mdr xb30ex in the past and the bass is even better than xtra bass labelled sony. much more solid and accurate.
mids are crystal clear...but not upto the bass and treble portions
treble....... is so good and not at all tiring to listen to. some high pitched instruments are so realistic. like they are playing live next to you. cymbals and bells for instance.
soundstage is huge-- better than so...

Its aural nirvana! When kept at mid-volume. Bass is top-heavy, and when volume is maxed out, it feels like sound is going to distort, but it never will. Treble is clear, as are the mids, and vocals. Also your music player must be unbiased about the frequency-range. I tested it on my Xperia Arc S, Samsung Galaxy Tab2 P310, and also on my old-yet-stunningly beautiful SE Aino. Great sound, but comes at a premium. Bundle is also good- with leatherette pouch(feels premium!), cord-clip, cable-wind...
