I’ll break the review in few factors for better insight, but overall this headphone is serious 9.5/10.

1. Battery - Solid battery performance. I have never counted the hours till the battery last from full charge, but from experience it can last easily 25 hrs approx. With ANC it can drop by 10%. Still a blast.

I bought these as an upgrade for my old Ath-M50.
The ANC is not as good as the Bose when on idle, but once the music kicks in the ANC is on par as the others.
Build quality is premium and the touch controls are super handy when travelling.

The only issue I have is that moving from the Ath-M50 which are studio monitors to the pxc 550, the sound felt very artificial. However, the director mode allows you to configure the sound (From the CapTune app) greatly to get a much more natural sound.

But it lacks bass, and its not enough loud.
play and pause through touch takes 1-2 secs, so it won't be instantaneous.

Got it for 15k ish during sale - absolute steal for that price. But if you're gonna spend 30k or so, go for the Sony MDR1000XM3 - the gold standard.

I've used these side by side with WH1000XM3 and the Sony's do have better noise cancellation but the Sennheiser is on par or better in almost every aspect.

Excellent sound quality. specially with AptX codec. It makes my qc 35 sound like a crap. Although qc 35 is more comfortable. It has signature sannheiser sound which is very pleasant to ears. Noise cancellation is good but not at par with bose. But when u play something, difference is never noticeable. Build quality is excellent. very premium materials have been used.
