The characterization is well developed and the main protagonist is almost a normal Indian we come across everyday.
The bengali family, the muslim bloke and the scene of railway station and train are expertly crafted and to quote a niche - transports you actually to UP of the suitable boy

Though a bit lengthy but A great book to understand the agony and pain of an indian mother..the moment i heard it,i wanted to read this book. This book makes a great reading atleast for me..
