An Enlightener and Glass Breaker Book

Usually authors find it very hard to explain religious stories and events in simple yet thought provoking manner no matter how many books that author has written. This book is NOT one of those. There is a consistent approach to explanation that makes it for the mind very easy to soak message and believe in what that author has written. This is a phenomenal book, at least for me, who has been searching to get a lot of answers regarding Hinduism and the meaning of certain Vishnu-viate events. ...

Very enlightening read!!

For all those who find mythological stories appealing, this great piece by Dr Pattanaik will be a feast for the mind. The writer has very finely ellaborated the different avataars of the cosmic administrator Mahavishnu in the simplest and easiest writing style. From Mohini the enticer to Mohan the preacher of the great Bhagwat Geeta, Vishnu has shown the world the Pravarrtti Marga as opposite to Shiva's Niwrratti Marga. Living in the material world with the goal of achieving salvation that is...

An amazing read

This book is for all people who have missed out listening to tales of Hindu mythology or more precisely that of Vishnu folklore during their childhood. It is also for people who know it all and still want to refresh it one more time. Each page has illustration on its left side and lucid description on the right. The book begins with the secret of Mohini describing importance of spiritual and material reality. The book then makes us understand the purpose behind each of Vishnu's avatar. The bo...

7 Secrets of Vishnu

This book is almost like a poem on Hinduism, more specifically on Vishnu, in prose. This book throws a different, novel perspective on our perception of Lord Vishnu and elevates him as a Super Lord, a God by every measure and mean. Each chapter is description of an Avatar of Vishnu on Earth, heavily mixed with DP's imagination, although strictly abiding to the Hindu description of each of the Avatars. A thoroughly engaging book for anyone who is spiritually inclined.

Another Devdutt's classical piece

I have brought it for my mother who loves DP's classical and religious books . However I did manage to read couple of chapters from it and was quite fond of the fluidity and flow of the book . The facts and figures are presented in a very languid manner.
Another Devdutt Pattnaik classic . A must read
