Abhay Kumar Saini is an engineering graduate with a postgraduate degree in management and productivity studies, and he is a recipient of the NPC's Chairman Gold Medal. He has extensive experience in consulting, industrial engineering, human resources, and agricultural productivity studies. Over the past 40 years, he has worked with prominent organizations such as NTPC, AIRTEL, TATA, and KENT. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, the most notable being a National Award at the age of 18 in 1973 from the then Chief Justice of India. This recognition was for his innovative road crossing design that resulted in a fuel savings of ?38 crores per annum. Additionally, he has authored more than 15 professional papers presented at various national and international conferences. He has also represented India at ESCAP, a UN body focused on identifying training needs within the power sector.
