Shy-NM is a Vegan Friendly toothpaste Shy-NM is a specially formulated ingredient that creates a barrier and protects the tooth. Quick action, usually within a couple of days. When SHY-NM reacts with saliva, Na+ ions are released, elevating the pH into the range essential for HCA (Hydroxycarbonateapatite) formation. Minerals like Ca2+ and P5+ ions are released from CSPS to form calcium-phosphate layer. The calcium-phosphate layer crystallises into HCA and seals the opened dentinal tubules. This HCA layer is chemically and structurally similar to the layer found in tooth enamel. This layer provides long-lasting protection of the tooth from wearing away and subsequent pain.
