Love this book

Very nice book Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

I didn't find it much useful. Still few things are in this book to learn. The best line is "I can think, I can wait and I can fast". Also, we as a person cannot escape from the reality, we must accept and move with the flow of nature.

very hard english

First, this is not the story of Buddha or his teachings. So don’t discount this book thinking that you know the story of Buddha. Its in fact ‘not’ about Buddha or his teachings.The protagonist actually doesn’t accept any teaching including Buddha’s. And don’t read it for entertainment or as an interesting story. Read it on the day when you are in spiritual frame of mind. Perhaps the best book in English so far in the realm of Indian spiritual thought.

Great writer. A condensed and distilled...

It is said that Siddhartha by Hermann Hessee is one of the books that changed the world because since then the western world was influenced by Eastern Philosophy.Another noteworthy movement where the Western world was inspired by Eatern Philosophy is the Hare Krishna Movement or the ISKCON in the 1960's is still very relevant.I recommend this book to anyone who is in need of peace and needs some souls searching in life.Great book.In addition to Siddhartha you can read J.Krishnamurti available...

A Must read, If you do not have any Idea , where your life is taking you...

Not soo bad but page quality is too bad.
Can't understand very easily. If you are the age above 22years then you compulsorily needs this type of amazing book. But I don't recommend to regular readers.
