Description
THE ULTIMATE ACCOUNT OF 26/11 FROM TWO ACCLAIMED INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISTSOn 26 November 2008, four terrorists entered the Taj, Mumbai, and took over the hotel. What followed were nearly three days of terror as the world watched the great hotel go up in flames. Now comes the ultimate account of that attack. Telling the stories of guests, staff, police and the National Security Guard, and piecing together transcripts of calls between the terrorists and their handlers, The Siege takes you right into the warzone, showing you what it was like to be in the Taj on those fateful days. Here are heart-stopping stories of guests and staff—of a couple about to celebrate their wedding, a British-Cypriot shipping magnate whose state-of-the-art yacht is docked in front of the hotel, and a young Taj employee who survives because of a stranger’s phone call. Here too are revelations about the training of the terrorists, Headley’s double game and the shocking incompetence of the Indian security forces. Terrifying, gripping and deeply moving, The Siege is unputdownable.

An ultimate account to the nation's most horrific terror attack!

Reading this book was like being a part of the entire, unfortunate attack. I could feel each and every word written in the book. It has been written in immense depth and with resounding understanding of the subject matter.
I have cried with the sorrow of the victims and their plight.

I would definitely recommend this book.

The Seige

This is a must read. It reads like a great plot except that its all real life. I couldn't put it down. The kind of detailed information and insights into the Mumbai attacks and esp at the Taj is as fantastic as it is shocking.

eye opener acc of total incompetence of our system, dedication n bravery of taj staff n audacity of attackers

the book is an eye opener. it angers the reader to the core at the people who were responsible in india for the attack. the kind of criminally delayed response our establishment gave to the attack is non-pardonable. there should be strict punishment for the officials who ignored the warnings, delayed calling the NSG n squatted thru their duty. mumbai was not attacked, it invited the attack by being so careless in its attitude to security. as usual, politicians were good for nothing...its a m...
