A masterpiece by Devdutt Pattanaik.

I used to doubt about Ram being a God. After reading this, the question is gone. The Sita was never gone, Ram never abandoned her. Hanumaan knowing the truth about Sita's Ram and Ram's Sita. Great story, even greatly re-told.

The wisdom of Sita is the true rule, the rule of Ram is the true wisdom!

The cycle never stops, the past is future and the future is past, as 'kal' was yesterday and 'kal' will be tomorrow.

Not fare I got this book for 374 now its 339. Wow what a book. My friends came home when I was reading this book and they all liked this book so now all our group has ordered it. Bought this book after reading 'Jaya'. Money well spent !

'The Ramayana' is not a linear story, there are so many layers and digressions to it that it may confuse you if you don't pay attention to the details. The author, with his commentary and additional information makes this book an interesting read. Why does the author name the book as 'Sita' ? A Food for thought ...

I am a big fan of Devdutt Pattanaik ever since I read Myth=Mithya and have a number of his books in my collection. So the moment I saw SITA on Flipkart I immediately ordered it within 3-4 days of the books' release and am thoroughly enjoying going through it.

I won't give a detailed book review but I'll say this is worth a read. Helps in understanding our culture better which is the core to our mentality. Pattanaik has managed to search on different folklore and brought them together, writing about different interpretations in space and time. Something the younger generation will enjoy.

I have a strange obsession for good paper quality and perfection in the design. The book has a perfect feel, calling you to read it. every book lover's delight.

Fantastic read. If you read it with soul and emotion and not like some "Hindu" scripture, and just like a novel, you will surely be touched and might even have watery eyes at some places in this epic of wisdom and logic. My only message to the readers is, people, buy it. It is a treasure chest for a successful and peaceful life ahead and a healthy human psychology if you understood Pattanaik's perspective. Its an amazing book. The Ramayana! Retold with such intricate details! Its feels like an encyclopedia of Ramayanas.
But since the book is written in English, sometimes its a bit problematic to relate the English words to actual devanagiri or Sanskrit words.
