    • Gladiolus can be grown in a wide range of soil varying from light sandy to clay loam soils. However deep (at least 30 cm), well drained, friable soils rich in organic matter and nutrients are suitable for its cultivation. The pH should be slightly acidic in the range of 5.5-6.5.
