Muthuswamy Dikshithar hailed as one of the Musical Trinity of South India is undoubtedly one of the greatest composers Carnatic Music has ever seen.This thematic live concert has the choicest of compositions of Muthuswamy Dikshithar from start to finish rendered immaculately by the legend Tanjore S.Kalyanaraman. The hallmark of this concert are the superb expositions of Madhyamavathi, Dhanyasi and Kamboji and the concluding piece, a Tillana which is a creation of SKR himself.

Tanjore S.Kalyanaraman (SKR) honed his immense talent under the illustrious legend G.N.Balasubramaniam. He was one of the best disciples of GNB and he was a good composer himself. His felicity to render rare and vivadi ragas is unparalleled. He was one of the most versatile musicians the Carnatic Music world has ever seen.

Accompanying SKR on the violin is the renowned violinist T.Rukmini, an outstanding accompanist, and on the mridangam is the great maestro Guruvayoor Dorai, a genius among percussionists, who has been reigning the concert platform for over several decades.
