A:Internet is only necessary for remote access. I would not recommend this particular camera. I returned it for full refund. It does not support Onvif Protocol. Look for camera that allows direct wifi.

A:You can control it from anywhere in the world but both you camera and mobile phone need to be connected to the internet. 8gb memory card will record approx 3-4 days. then it will start rewriting.
