Soil Nutrient Requirements
Bhindi (Okra) thrives in well-drained, sandy loam to clay loam soil rich in organic matter, with a preferred pH of 6.0 to 6.8. For successful growth, incorporate well-decomposed organic manure or compost before planting. A common nutrient recommendation includes applying around 100 kg of nitrogen, 60 kg of phosphorus (P₂O₅), and 50 kg of potassium (K₂O) per hectare for good yields.
