VERY GOOD FOR INTRODUCTION
for undergraduate students this book is very helpful as an introductory book of solid state.. though it is a very thin book , not have so much pages like all other solid books but it covers a wide portion of the subject...
i ordered this book frm flipkart and 1st received a faulty product with 8-9 blank pages inside,,
but they replaced it with a new book within 3 days... :)

Highly recommended
For someone who is just about to begin solid state physics must read this first. It provides most of the basic ideas of solid state. Proper questions are given for practice and discussion. Runs parallel with the unified syllabus with concepts properly explained.

Best Solid State Book for Basics
If you want to study solid state physics, start right from this book. Its a good introductory book which is also a bit advanced. After thorughly going through this book, C Kittel, Omar Ali, books will be fun to read. it is written in very simple language with good numerical examples. Best book of basics. A must buy for students having Solid State physics as special paper in Post Graduation.
