    Description

A Blandings novel This is the first Blandings novel, in which P.G. Wodehouse introduces us to the delightfully dotty Lord Emsworth, his bone-headed younger son, the Hon. Freddie Threepwood, his long-suffering secretary, the Efficient Baxter, and Beach the Blandings butler. As Wodehouse wrote, ‘without at least one impostor on the premises, Blandings Castle is never itself’. In Something Fresh there are two, each with an eye on a valuable scarab which Lord Emsworth has acquired without quite realizing how it came into his pocket. But of course things get a lot more complicated than this.

    Something Fresh Indeed!

Blandings! Lord Emsworth's world of serene, unruffled comfort so frequently ripped apart into confusion and tension by his highly efficient blunderer of a son presents a veritable treat to the connoiseur of gentleman fiction. A class apart from the usual Jeeves and Wooster style of books, stories from the Blandings' word mill impresses the reader with its soft aura and Chaplinesque innocence.
This story takes you through the troubles of Lord Emsworth concerning his son's engagement to the dau...

    Must Read!

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a novel this much. I giggled my way through the entire story. Wodehouse is a genius. He weaves his delightfully quirky characters' lives together in such elaborate ways, you just can't imagine what'll happen next! When I finished the last page and closed the book, I sat back with a big grin, feeling thoroughly amused and satisfied. It's a must-read!

    Thumbs-up

If you are wondering whether this book is worth buying; dont think further, go for it! a cheerfully feel-good one!

if you want to take a break from continous mystery and detective plots and have some lighter moments (just as was the case for me); this book is very apt!

    TotallY Refreshing!

P.G.Wodehouse--I have only one question to ask myself,Why was i soo late to start reading this absolutely amazing Author earlier.

But since I had that realization I was hooked. He is simply the most delightful author that one could think of.

His common traits of wittiness, imagery and fascinating characters are THE main essence which makes SOMETHING FRESH , a treat for any reader.

It takes you back to the old English Laid-back days and the most amazing thing is that the element of humour ke...

People who have not read P G Wodehouse's books are missing out on so much. Amazingly well written and does not have even a single dull moment. As with all his writings, happy endings are the order of the day.
Finished reading and would not hesitate to buy the second book in the series. Quite easily one of the finest English writers !!

    Awsumly Fresh!!!!!!!!!

This is my first Wodehouse novel and must say I simply loved it. Refreshing and fun-filled journey. You will laugh charmingly throughout the novel. The plot was super and interesting to read as everyone joins the same place and tries to steal the same thing coincidentally.
If you are depressed and want to feel good, just go for it without thinking much. You will be as fresh as dewdrop..........One word Luved it.
