The best memoir I have read till date. Movie lovers esp fans of Akira Kurosawa shouldn't give it a miss. The speed at which he narrated his life, from his earliest childhood memories to his stint as an Assistant Director under his guru, Yamamoto Kajiro is nothing short of a script in itself. No where was I bored or felt the narrative was dragging. Sadly though , it ends with the making of Roshomon.
