Just like the Taj Mahal is an immortal love story etched in marble, this book too is an immortal love story written on paper. Based in the good old Mughal days at a time when the Taj Mahal was conceived and being created, this book offers an interesting glimpse into the daily lives of the Mughal and the ways of the Mughal Harem. A spell binding read right till the end, it comes as a highly recommended read from me.
Once you start reading this you just can't put it down. It involves you so beautifully into Niloufer's life and is so visually descriptive that you feel you are actually living the era and your heart goes out to Niloufer & Jagat for the purity of their love for each other. Kudos to the author for a beautifully written book that seems to come straight from the heart. An absolute must read for everyone!
'Songs of Stone' is an extremely creative and interesting book. It is a gripping tale set in the Mughal era that takes the reader back in time. The book is a delightful read and I thoroughly enjoyed it !!!
