it was mentioned as SSD but this is just a normal hard disk. i doubt if it is really a sony product

The harddisk is good no doubt but i was very disappointed with the cable though it says usb 3 but the transfer speed is very slow. I found out that the culprit for slow transfer speed was the cable after doing numerous crosschecks and even modifying settings at the system level and in the end testing with other genuine cables from other harddisk found out that the low transfer speed was due to the cable. Good product for USB 3.0 but low speed in USB 2.0
