I bought this cam from some other site, a bit cheaper though than on Flipkart. It looks good and thats all about the camera. Picture quality is comparable to an average mobile camera (I expected more with a 5x zoom and 14 megapixel). I would advise putting the money to get a mobile with a good camera instead.

I liked the camera well , although I gave it as a gift to my cousin. I tested it after the seal was opened. I got good feedback on the camera - good pictures, though battery life could be slightly better but for the amount I spent, its great value for money (the free case and battery charger was a bonus).

I recently bought it from Flipkart, this camera is good & have nice picture quality but it does not support HD Video recording. it supports VGA recording. I also request Flipkart to remove "HD Recording" from specification of this product. Anyway in other cases it is good. The service provided by Flipkart is very nice, they delivered it in two and half day....

The DSC-S5000 is an excellent product at such a dicounted rate... It covers almost all the features that one needs.. and that too at an affordable price. The current discounted price is very much low than what is available on the Sony Outlet.

Dont even go for sonys lower end models ,they are made from the worst quality materials.
This camera is a childs playtoy ,worst than that.Go for NIkon - coolpix or canon etc which have a vareity of good lower end models for resonable price.But sonys higher models are good ,if your budget is high you can go for them.I cant even give this a single star but have no other choice.
